Sorry for the late post, I thought this posted a few days ago but I guess it did not. Beauty and the Beast has always been one of those fairy tales that kids look at. I have never seen the ENTIRE movie but I do remember watching huge chunks of it. I really like the parts that I remember. In comparison with “The Courtship of Mr Lyon”, I felt there were comparisons. There were not many differences besides the fact that the detail was not as specific. I believe that the rose color was different then in the movie. Small details like this do not really affect the overall plot or theme of a book or movie. So overall, I really enjoyed reading this “short story” because it reminded me not only of some really cool fairy tales, but also of my childhood and watching them. haha
